	1977-1997     The Davey Company     Aurora, IL Executive Vice President, VP Manufacturing, Managing Director, Assistant Plant Engineer Provided assistance to CEO in all matters pertaining to the sale of the company including areas in negotiations with buyer, site visits, labor negotiations, plant shutdown and shareholder relations. Responsible for Phase I and II environmental studies required for the sale of the company. Managing Director for local manufacturing plant with bottom line responsibility. Completed a turnaround on a 2 year old $8 Million paper machine that was lagging in quality and productivity. Financial turnaround of a paper mill by focusing on quality improvements, eliminating cost, and rebuilding the paper machines. Maintained profitability through initiatives in safety, standard operating procedures, energy management and employee training. Designed and built the first programmable controller system for the company. Instituted a plant wide energy management program.
